I remember the first time I received an email from my doctor inviting me to an online menopausal workshop at the age of forty-two.
My first thought was, “Surely this isn’t for me.”

I remember the exact moment I first received an email from my doctor inviting me to a menopause workshop.
Instinctively, my brain reacted with pure denial, “...are you sure this is for me?”
I wasn’t ready to admit menopause could be happening to me, especially since I hadn’t had children.
But my body was telling a different story. I began experiencing hot flashes, sleepless nights and forgetfulness. My energy was fading and my body wasn’t responding the way it used to.
